As part of a strategic initiative to enhance Wesleyan’s use and management of documents, the Information Technology Services staff worked with the Dean’s and Registrar’s Offices to implement Docfinity, a campus wide, paperless document management solution. The need for Docfinity was a result of the Admission department’s recent transition to a paperless application process. The Dean’s office began using Docfinity last August.
Docfinity provides a user-friendly document storage and retrieval process, built-in form capability, flexible security, and advanced workflow options. Current Docfinity-related projects include: digital student files with the Dean’s and Registrar’s Offices, an employee change form with Human Resources, and grants time and effort reporting with Financial Services.
