ITS Info Session for Staff and Faculty a Success!

On February 5th, Wesleyan’s ITS Department hosted an ITS Informational Session for faculty and staff to showcase ITS services and highlight current and upcoming projects.  Despite the snowy weather outside, many Wesleyan staff and faculty made the trek to Usdan and engaged in discussions with ITS staff members not only about the current technologies available to university staff, but new and emerging technologies ITS will be introducing in the coming year.

More than ten IT services were highlighted and a live demonstration of GoToMeeting was conducted from the lobby floor. Other Info Session booths included Anatomy of a Software Request, Blackboard Analytics, ServiceNow and Desktop Support, Training with Lynda.com, Spring’15 Pre-Reg Planning Enhancements, and the new University Calendar software.

Video programs showcasing recent IT projects were also on display and included the new Docfinity Implementation, our Wireless Campus initiative and the Cascade Migration project completed in 2014.

Given the positive feedback we received from those in attendance, the ITS Info Session at Daniel Family Commons will return in the fall semester.  In the meantime, you can still stay connected with ITS by following us on Twitter @WesleyanITS or Facebook.com/WesleyanITS
